Rossini’s Barber of Seville at Seattle Opera

On Sunday afternoon, Nicholas Phan sang the part of Almaviva, Kate Lindsey created Rosina, and David Adam Moore was Figaro. They were all terrific…To follow Brownlee on any given night is no mean task, but Phan did a spectacular job. He didn’t sing that extra aria, but he delivered everything else that Rossini threw at him. Phan’s interaction with Lindsey’s Rosina seemed more fluid and natural than Brownlee’s with Coburn.
